Tracksters bring home medals, set school record

The Peabody-Burns High School track team had some success this past weekend at the KSHSAA state track meet in Wichita.
Andrew Topham brought home two medals. He finished second in the 1600m run with a time of 4:29.23. He also finished second in the 3200m run with a time of 9:30.28.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Derrick Simmonds, Todd Woodruff, Trevor Hamm, and Will Pratt earned a fifth place finish and also set a new school record with a time of 44.77.
