Tomahawks win two over Sedgwick

Peabody-Burns Tomahawks hosted a league game Nov. 25 against Sedgwick. The varsity and the junior varsity both were victorious over the Cardinals.
The varsity started fast, jumping out to a 15-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Tomahawks dominated the second quarter also, stretching their lead by 16 at the half, 29-13.
The Tomahawks lost some intensity after the half, getting away from the offense but managed a comfortable lead of 37-21 at the end of the third. Sedgwick made a late run to cut the lead to 10, but the Tomahawks held on to win 50-35.

The junior varsity started sluggish, but sparked in the second quarter to take a 14-5 lead to the locker room at the half. Both teams scored well in the second, and the Tomahawks held off the Cardinals and defeated them 28-23.
