Tomahawks post two more in win column

Peabody-Burns Junior High Tomahawks remain undefeated this past week with two more victories. They are now 7-0 for season.
They beat Central Christian, 58-20, at home Monday. They traveled to Burrton Thursday and rolled over the Chargers, 65-26.
Tomahawks came out slow against Central Christian but managed a 10- point lead, 16-6, at the end of the first quarter. Trevor Hamm and Duane Unruh led the scoring with six each.
The defense took over in the second holding the Central Christian team to two points. The Tomahawk offense went on a run putting 18 on the board for a 34-8 lead at the half.
With more of the same in the second half, the Tomahawks cruised to a 58-20 victory.
In the contest against Burrton, the Tomahawks took the opening tip and never looked back. Their pressure defense held the Chargers to four points in the first period. The Tomahawk offense was on fire, putting up 22 points with Nathan Bishop leading the scoring with 10 points.
The PBJH squad extended the lead in the second going up 31-6 at the break.
The Tomahawks continued to play at a furious pace in the second half. The offense added 34 points with all of the Tomahawks seeing floor time before putting another one in the win column, 65-26.
Next action for the Tomahawks was a Monday home game against Hutch Trinity. The team will be on the road Thursday to meet Remington.

The Peabody-Burns Junior High Tomahawk B team added two victories this past week bringing their season record to 5-2. The squad defeated Central Christian 51-11 and Burrton 59-21.
