Tomahawks lose to Trinity

The PBJH Tomahawks suffered their third loss of the season at home Thursday when they were defeated by Hutch Trinity, 52-20. They go to Solomon for the next match-up.

The offense was all Hutch Trinity in the first half of the contest with a score at the break of 31-0. PBJH offense suffered from turnovers of fumbles and interceptions.

Caleb Hilliard found Storm Pickens on a 58-yard passplay to put the home team on the scoreboard first in the second half. The PAT failed, but the Tomahawks earned six and the Trinity lead was reduced 31-6 with 7:35 on the clock in the third period.

A successful Tomahawk on-side kick put the PBJH offense back on the field. They moved the ball with success through the air to set up a 19-yard run by Clint Jones for the tomahawk touchdown. The extra point failed. The Tomahawks trailed 31-12.

Trinity offense scored next with less than four minutes to play in the third. They added the extra kick and their lead was 38-12.

PBJH put up one more score with a Pickens 10-yard run with four minutes left in the contest. Jones added a two-point conversion and the Tomahawk total for the game was 20.

Trinity added 14 more points in the contest and defeated the Tomahawks 52-20.
