Tomahawks lose second game

Peabody-Burns Junior High School football team was defeated Thursday by Moundridge, 44-14.
The team will travel Thursday to Canton-Galva for its next competition.
Moundridge took a big lead against the Tomahawks, scoring five times in the first half.
The Tomahawks did get on the board before halftime with a Matt Hiebert touchdown run with two minutes, 26 seconds left, making the score 36-6.
Hunter Pickens put up the only other PBJH score with a 67-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Hiebert then hit Wesley Brewer for the two-point conversion to give the Tomahawks 14 points.
PBJH volleyball
The Lady Tomahawks junior varsity volleyball team beat Moundridge this past week by a score of 25-19, 25-17.
The varsity lost in three games, 17-25, 25-19, 13-25.
The teams play Tuesday at Canton-Galva.
