Tomahawks drop home contest to Inman

Peabody-Burns Junior High football squad was defeated at home Thursday by Inman, 24-8.
Inman put up the first rushing score of the contest to put the Tomahawks down 8-0 early. Defensively, the Tomahawks held Inman for the rest of the half. Elliott Spechtenhauser recovered an Inman fumble and Jacob Simmonds intercepted an Inman pass for defensive first half highlights.
The score remained 8-0 at the half.
Inman took advantage of an intercepted Tomahawk pass to drive up the field and put up the second score of the game. The Tomahawks were down 16-0.
PBJH answered the Inman score with a 63-yard drive. Spechtenhauser took the ball in for six and Simmonds added two to cut the Inman lead, 16-8.
Inman scored once more in the contest and the Tomahawks were defeated, 24-8.
The team, now at 1-5, prepares for its final game of the season Thursday at Remington.
