Todd Svitak
Todd Michael Svitak, 40, died Feb. 4, 2005, in an automobile accident on U.S.-50 near Peabody.
Born Jan. 18, 1965, at Marion, he was the son of George and Charlene Svitak.
He was raised in the Pilsen community, attended church at St. John Nep. Church, and graduated from Centre High School. After high school he attended Salina Area Vocational Technical School.
He owned and operated Svitak Machine at Lincolnville. His hobbies included building and racing cars, truck pulls, and mud runs. He was a member of the Classic Car Club and the Kansas Emu Association.
Survivors include three sons, Terry, Trent, and Taylor, all of Herington; his parents, George and Charlene Svitak of Pilsen; two brothers, Doug of Lincolnville and Randy of Pilsen; and one grandchild.
The rosary was recited Monday evening at St. John Nep. Church, Pilsen, with Fr. Mark Wesely leading the rosary.
The funeral Mass was said Tuesday morning at the church with Fr. Paul Oborny as celebrant.
Special music was provided by the church choir and soloist Jeff Bina.
Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with St. Anne's Altar Society or St. John's Choir, both at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nep. Church, Pilsen.
