Tickets available for farmers market dinner
The market gardeners and bakers who comprise the Doyle Valley Farmer's Market will hold their fifth annual community dinner at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22 in Santa Fe Park. The dinner features locally grown produce and baked goods.
Baked pork chops have been ordered from Sharon's Korner Kitchen this year since none of the vendors are meat producers. An abundant amount of tomatoes will provide a summer favorite treat. The old five gallon ice cream freezer will be filled with vanilla ice cream and can be topped with some great Koslowsky black walnuts.
Tickets are available Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon at Santa Fe Park. Only 100 tickets will be sold. The community band will perform at 7 p.m. following the dinner.
