Those arrested in raid remain in custody
"The July 12 arrest of two juveniles and one adult for possession of stolen property and other offenses has been tied to multiple crimes in Peabody," said Peabody Police Chief Bruce Burke. "All those arrested have had charges filed against them with the Marion County Attorney's office."
Burke noted that the juveniles were taken to juvenile intake and then moved to juvenile detention where they remain.
Police are still taking reports of theft and vandalism, however.
A realty sign was stolen July 15 from 305 Sycamore. The sign has not been recovered.
A juvenile was arrested July 17 for burglary and attempted theft of a motor vehicle. The suspect was allowed to return home after the arrest.
Local officers assisted Marion County Sheriff's officers July 18 with a non-injury accident involving a vehicle and a deer.
A person was arrested in Peabody Thursday on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear.
A report was taken Thursday of burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property at Peabody golf course.
During the past week, Peabody police filed an inoperable vehicle violation with the city prosecutor. The action was the result of a complaint.
Another report of burglary and theft was taken Sunday. This took place at a residence.
Two subjects were arrested Sunday for minor in possession of alcohol. Both will appear in municipal court to face charges.
Two non-injury accidents were reported during the weekend.
