They say when one door closes another opens, but when a whole wall falls down what do you do?

Well, Dale and Doe Ann Hague went right to work and the HUB was "born."

It has been one year since the HUB opened the door to host the 2006 After Prom Party.

Since then hundreds of Peabody kids and adults have found the youth center to be their "home away from home." The HUB has been the happenin' place, hosting everything from chess club and community events to music concerts and study time, plus being a place to just hang out with friends.

The community is invited to a Birthday Bash open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The HUB will host the event to thank the community and its many supporters for a successful first year.

Refreshments will be served and music will be provided by PBHS student Charlotte Rippe.

At 8 p.m. the bands, "Let Fly the Falcon," "The Invisible Hand," and "Shattered Eyes Opened" will join the celebration.
