Thanksgiving celebrated at Gaines home

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Maude Gaines were Shelly and Ben Harper of Inman, Zack Harper of Lawrence, Herb and Melinda Gaines of rural Cassoday, Bo Gaines of Lindsborg, Dustin Gaines of Newton, Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Vickie and Dick Gantz, Cory and Allison, and William Gantz of Perry.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne Ammeter went to Marion Monday and did some shopping. Dorene Kirkpatrick and LaVonne worked in El Dorado Tuesday. They ate lunch at Dairy Queen. Lisa Clark visited LaVonne on Tuesday.
Grandson Todd Ammeter of Manhattan arrived at LaVonne's Tuesday evening to spend Wednesday and Thanksgiving. LaVonne and Todd ate lunch at the Burns Café.
Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. Attending were LaVonne, Maude Gaines, and Dorene Kirkpatrick.
Myron and Sally Ammeter of Grand Island, Neb., arrived at the Ammeter farm Wednesday evening to spend the night and Thanksgiving. Bryan Ammeter and Jodi Wulf of Manhattan arrived later in the evening to spend Thanksgiving and Friday.
Thanksgiving Day guests at the Ammeter home were Todd Ammeter, Bryan Ammeter, Jodi Wulf, and Adam Magette of Manhattan, Sally and Myron Ammeter of Grand Island, Melody and Steve Magette of Greensburg, Amanda and Bryan Kantook of Colorado Springs, Colo., Blaine and Carol Ammeter of Ellinwood, Bob and Kathryn Ireland and Hazel Ireland of Newton, Carolyn and Jack Metz of Wichita, and Opal Craney of rural Peabody. Thanksgiving afternoon was spent visiting and riding Todd's four-wheeler. Blaine, Carol, Todd, Bryan, and Jodi went to Don Gfeller's to spend the evening and for supper.
Overnight and Friday guests of LaVonne were Todd, B.J., Jodi, Melody, and Steve. Blaine was a Friday dinner guest. Sure was quiet Friday evening when everyone left.
Don Gillet was a Thanksgiving Day dinner guest of Janet and Pat Post. He visited LaVonne Saturday.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne were in Newton Saturday. LaVonne was a supper guest of Lisa and Tom Clark on Saturday. Norma and Virgil Clark also were supper guests.
Maude Gaines and LaVonne ate lunch Sunday at the Chuck Wagon in Florence and visited Elsie Tittle in the afternoon.
Lisa Clark, Maude Gaines, and LaVonne decorated the Christmas tree at the Summit church Sunday evening.
LaVonne went to Lawrence and Lois Sayers Sunday evening for ice cream and cake. The occasion was to celebrate Sara Sayers 18th birthday. Other guests were Sheila and Bruce Sayers, Devan, Jessica, Megan, and the birthday girl, Sara!
Mr. and Mrs. Brad Hein and family of Newton were Friday overnight guests of Laura Rose and Joyce Hein. Joyce was a Saturday and overnight guest of the Brad Heins in Newton.
