Thad Beach to be featured in program
Another opportunity to "Catch the Reading Bug" will take place at 3:30 p.m. June 19 at the Peabody Library. All ages can settle in around the campfire at Camp Bugaboo for "Bug Juice Jamboree," featuring Thad Beach.
Children will enjoy participating in Beach's hilarious original songs like "Shoo Fly Don't Bother Me," "There's a Bug in My Ear," and "Ants in my Pants".
As an entertainer for more than 30 years, Thad has delighted audiences with his musical talent, humorous antics, wit, and easy-going style. He draws audience participation and makes each performance a spontaneous, unique, and personal experience.
In 2003, children involved with the summer reading program thoroughly enjoyed Thad's program "Songs, Giggles, Rhymes & Wiggles."
It will be great to have Thad return for the "Bug Juice Jamboree."
This event is sponsored by Peabody-Burns Recreation Commission for district students from both communities. There is no cost to the children participating.
The PBRC will provide bus service from Burns on June 19 in conjunction with the pool shuttle leaving at 12:30 p.m. This will provide an opportunity for Burns children to swim then attend the program at the library from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. before returning by bus to Burns.
Refreshments will be served. There will be an opportunity to purchase CD's featuring Thad Beach following the program.
Beach is a versatile instrumentalist, performing on ukulele, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, jaw harp, and harmonica. To find out more about him go to www.thadbeach.com.
