TC alumni donate personal collections

Dr. Daryl B. and Rosalie Adrian, Muncie, Ind., recently donated their personal library collections to Tabor College.

The first collection, donated by the couple, consists of approximately 2,500 volumes with subjects ranging from British and American literature to humanities and biblical studies. It was donated in memory of Tabor College professor emeritus Wesley J. Prieb.

"Dr. Adrian's gift of his personal library collection is a fantastic addition to the library's American and English literature holdings," said Adam Wathen, director of library services at Tabor College. "Students for years to come will be served by these high quality materials. We are very excited about Dr. Adrian's generosity."

Rosalie donated an assortment of old German books to the Center for Mennonite Brethren Studies, Tabor College, in memory of her parents, J.D. and Justina Schlichting.

Daryl, who served as professor for 32 years at Ball State University, Muncie, is now a professor emeritus of that institution. Rosalie served 15 years as executive assistant to the CEO of the Ball Corporation.

The Adrians are members of the Tabor College class of 1955.
