Tabor College students receive recognition at annual convocation
Students in three academic divisions at Tabor College were recognized May 1 at the spring honors convocation.
Each division presents awards to a select number of students for special recognition. Students are awarded on the basis of leadership, academic excellence, and success in their specific division.

The Jake and Selma Friesen Music Scholarship was awarded to Sharon Toews of Hesston. She also was a finalist for the Tabor Bible Award.
The Herman and Louise Friesen Music Scholarship was given to Meghann Eblen, Leavenworth.
Natural and mathematical science awards — Julia Beam, Caleb Mason, Alisa Schmidt, and Joshua Tolle, all of Hillsboro; Michael Friesen, Wichita; Brian Lightner, Inman; and Matt Lynam, Lindsborg.
Recipients of the William J. Johnson Scholarship were Scott Adrian and Jason Reiswig, Wichita; Anthony Loewen, Huron, S.D.; and Brent Wichert, Buhler.
Recipients of the Solomon L. Loewen Scholarship were Ashley Holland, Erie; Abby Loewen, Huron, S.D.; and Jordan Nuss and Audrey Schellenberg, Wichita.
Anthony Loewen of Huron, S.D., was named outstanding freshman chemistry student.
Chris Chlumsky of Wichita was awarded the David B. Wiens Mathematical Scholarship.
Angela Buller of Ingalls and Trenton Voth of Halstead accepted the Hiebert Merit Award.
