Tabor College plans Holy Week services
In observance of Holy Week, Tabor College invites the public to attend daily worship services Sunday through Wednesday in the historic church.
The Palm Sunday service will begin at 7 p.m. All other services will begin at 9 p.m.
"The Lent and Easter season is a time when people should come together to celebrate what Christ has accomplished at the cross. It is a celebration of God's intervention into human history to bring salvation to everyone," said Steve Lautt, a Tabor College junior from Minot, N.D., who serves on Tabor College's worship planning committee.
"The community is invited to come and respond to God's saving work through Scripture reading, singing, and hearing God's word preached. It's our hope that these services will be a real blessing to the Hillsboro area."
In addition to Scripture reading and traditional hymns, communion also will be served Wednesday evening.
Featured speakers will include: Pastor Gaylord Goertzen, Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church; Pastor Steve Schroeder, Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church; and Pastor Bruce Porter, Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
