Swenson racks up more awards
One week after being named to the Mid-Central Activities Association first team as a first baseman and second team as a pitcher, Marion-Florence/Peabody-Burns baseball player Bryan Swenson hauled in two more awards.
He once again earned first-team first baseman honors, this time on the 4A Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches all-state team.
KABC honored Swenson again by inviting him to play in one of the its two all-star games.
Swenson will represent the black team today (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. The teams are made up of players from 1-6A throughout the state.
For the season, including regional play, Swenson batted .507, with eight home runs, and 39 RBIs. He also was 8-3 as a pitcher.
