SuperSwimmers compete at league meet
The 2008 Mid-Kansas League Swim meet brought a day of inclement weather.
Of 45 Peabody SuperSwimmers slated to swim, only 26 remained to compete.
Throughout the day, some of the remaining swimmers had to leave to make previously scheduled baseball games.
No league winner was named at the end of the meet because team points were not calculated due to the weather and absent swimmers.
"We saw a lot of character and sportsmanship from those who stayed to begin the meet," head coach Laura Williams said. "No team scores were kept but we could not have been more proud of those SuperSwimmers who competed for the love of swimming."
