Summit church board enjoys soup supper

Maude Gaines and LaVonne Ammeter went to Peabody Monday afternoon and spent time at the senior center.
Members of the Summit Church met Monday evening at the church for the annual soup supper and administrative board meeting. Pastor Linda attended along with the following church members: Marvin and Sherry Nightengale, Dorene and Ron Kirkpatrick, Maude Gaines, LaVonne Ammeter, and Ronnie and Patti Gaines.
Tuesday afternoon, Maude Gaines, LaVonne Ammeter, and Sally Matz attended Bennie Brooks' funeral at the Methodist church. I did so enjoy seeing Beatrice and Rosetta and Wilma. Took a little walk down memory lane.
Ladies Aid met at LaVonne's Wednesday afternoon. We finished one quilt and put in another one. Those attending were Leona Widler, Maude Gaines, Dorene Kirkpatrick, and Sherry Nightengale.
Wednesday evening visitors of LaVonne were Don Gillet and Michele Bose, Dylan and Clorie. Blaine Ammeter of Ellinwood arrived late Wednesday evening. Stan and Blaine worked and mowed Thursday and Blaine returned home Thursday night.
Marnita Robinson and Stan visited Thursday evening.
Kerrie Wiebe, Natalia, Taryn, Kenton, and Tiana left Thursday for Texas to visit Jeremy and Michele Walker and help their daughter C.C. celebrate her second birthday. They returned home Sunday evening.
LaVonne Ammeter and Tom and Lisa Clark hosted a Summit Township cookout Saturday evening at the Ammeter farm. Forty-one people attended. Wow! Those attending enjoyed good food and lots of visiting. Tom, Lisa, and Stan did the cooking.
Those attending were Dale and Sheila Buller and boys, Ike and Marie Clark, Dan Wiebe, Stan Ammeter, Marnita Robinson, Marilyn and LaVerne Stucky.
Maude Gaines, Lawrence and Lois Sayers, Bruce and Sheila Sayers, Megan and Jessica, Don Gillet, Lisa Livingston and daughter Ryan, Ronnie and Patti Gaines.
Marcie and Ty Fredrickson, Kathy and Kelly Sage, Glen and Betty Kyle, Rick Fritz, Michele and John Bose and Dylan, Bob Hartnagle and Michele Montgomery, Darrel Johnson, and Bob Welch. We hope to do this again next year.
LaVonne and Maude attended church Sunday at Whitewater Center Church.
Rob and Christie Ammeter called from Charleston, S.C. to report on those great-granddaughters Samantha and Allison.
