Students present program for Burns seniors

Peabody-Burns Elementary School students sang Christmas songs at the Burns Community Building Dec. 10 at the Burns Senior Citizens meeting. There were 45 energetic third graders and all Burns students. They were accompanied by Donna Stucky, Karen Saner, Mary Thiessen, and Principal Ken Parry.

The performance was enjoyed by people from three weeks to 88 years of age. Students were treated to candy canes.

Following the meal, Kathleen Brenzikofer read an article, "Christmas Tree," by Baxter Black.

A donation of $50 to Central Homecare and Hospice was approved.

Acknowledgment was made of the birthdays of Esther Nelson and Laverna Parrish and the wedding anniversary of Don and Laverna Parrish.

Ed Grimwood shared the video, "Red Skelton — The Lost Episodes." Many hearty laughs were heard.

Enjoying the day were Esther Nelson, Beverly Morgan, Don and Laverna Parrish, Albert Gustainis, Fritz Brening, Gene Obee, Marion and Josette Cubbage, Tom and Nedy Grimwood and Christopher, Ed Grimwood, LaVonne Ammeter, Norma Martin, Lou Anderson, Diane Nelson, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Joyce Kyle.
