Steve Garcia
Steven Garcia, 48, Peabody, died June 10, 2003, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.
Born Aug. 2, 1954, at Newton, he was the son of Guadalupe and Margaret (Torres) Garcia.
He was a machine operator for Legg Co., Halstead.
Survivors include his parents, Newton; his companion, Anne Borserine, Peabody; daughters Gina (Merryfield) Holquin, Halstead, and Jade Garcia, Peabody; brothers, Anthony and Richard Garcia, Newton, and Timothy Garcia, Australia; sisters, Cindy Becker and Annette Garcia, Newton, and Trudy Patricia Garcia, California; and two grandchildren.
He was a veteran with four years service in the Navy, enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, camping, and playing baseball with his children and grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday afternoon at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody, with Pastor David Randall of Peabody United Methodist Church officiating.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
