Stay in touch

This is the final quarterly Peabody Main Street newsletter for 2007. We hope you all continue to enjoy hearing from your hometown four times a year. Many of you write thank you notes or letters to the editor. Some of you e-mail me and there are several that even pick up the phone now and then and call. It is always good to hear from you. We try to print each letter. Everyone enjoys the memories of Peabody and we encourage you to keep in touch when you remember a special holiday, event, or person from your days here.

Please let us know if you move so that we can keep you connected to what is going on. If you know someone who went to school here who doesn't get the quarterly newspaper/newsletter send us the name and address. We are always happy to add names to the list.

This has been a successful year for Peabody and Peabody Main Street. We have gotten great press for our history, our barns, several businesses, Main Street events, and our museums and historic downtown. We hope to have even better press in the coming year. We have great plans for 2008 and hope you will enjoy watching us move forward.

Keep those e-mails, cards, and letters coming. We want to hear from you and so do lots of other people. If there is a feature you would like to see in the newsletter, let us know. We want to give you the information you want.

Enjoy the news from "home." Peabody is not so different now than when you grew up here. Remember to come back and see us, sit on a bench downtown, and reminisce about that old '49 Ford, or the winning record your basketball team piled up, or the time you got in so much trouble for . . . what? Quick, tell us!

Stay connected. You are part of what we are and what we have in this community. As 2007 ends and 2008 looms on the horizon, make a promise to come back and visit. We are here waiting!
