Senior citizens group discusses improvements

Florentine Seniors recently were contacted by Florence City Council regarding a bathroom project at the center. The city suggested the bathrooms be made handicapped accessible.

Betty Ireland of the Florentine Center, reported April 21 during the monthly board meeting of Senior Citizens of Marion County, Inc. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lincolnville, that plans were to increase the size of the men's bathroom to meet ADA requirements which then would be accessible for all to use. The women's bathroom would remain the same size but would be improved.
