Senior citizen s board hears of facade upgrades
The board of directors for the Peabody Senior Center met at 10 a.m. Monday.
Following the regular business meeting, members heard from Main Street director Joanna Brazil.
She introduced plans for upgrading the front of the building housing the center.
The plan was put together by the Main Street design committee under the direction of chairman Jeannie Strotkamp.
The building exterior will be cleaned and new window coverings will be installed in the second story windows.
Other projects are planned for the future to use the building as a community center.
It was announced the next commodity distribution will be at 10 a.m. June 27.
The board discussed the need to rock the parking area at the rear of the building.
It heard that the new insurance will now cover both the van and the building at less cost than the total of two separate policies.
The monthly covered dish dinner was held Tuesday.
