Senior board hears of upcoming activities

Peabody Senior Center board met Monday.

Following the secretary and treasurer's reports, site business was conducted.

Problems with a leaky ceiling and faulty front door latch need to be addressed, it was reported.

Commodities were distributed March 11 to 54 families with 110 people.

The monthly covered dish dinner was Tuesday. Senior citizens were entertained by forensic students from Peabody-Burns High School.

An American Red Cross representative will visit Friday to discuss the recent ice storm destruction.

A suggestion was made to investigate new table decorations and ways to use young volunteers in site service.

It was announced that March 25 will be a special Easter and birthday dinner. Bennie Holtsclaw will give the program.
