School board holds two special meetings June 27 years ago
Double-decker special meetings were held June 27 by members of USD 398 board of education in the district's central office.
President Doe Ann Hague called the first meeting to order at 7 p.m. with member Duke Eldridge absent.
The special meeting was noted as the final meeting for member Jim Hoffman from Burns and he was thanked for his years of service to the district.
Board members voted unanimously to offer Juanita Richstatter a combined technology/Peabody Elementary School secretary position.
A second unanimous decision was made to release Andrea Corchoran from her contract for the 2005-06 school year providing a suitable replacement can be found and Corchoran pay a fine of $250.
The meeting adjourned at 7:18 p.m. and was followed by a second special meeting at 7:20.
A waiver of written notice for the meeting was approved, 6-0. Jim Hoffman left the meeting. Member Duke Eldridge was absent.
Board members agreed, 5-0, to offer the position of Peabody Elementary School computer class aide to Sue Hoffman at the hourly wage presented for the 2005-06 school year.
Jim Hoffman returned to the meeting and the board adjourned.
