Sarah Williams joins KSU scholars
Marion High School graduate Sarah Williams recently was accepted as a member in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
She will be honored during an induction convocation this fall on the campus of Kansas State University.
NSCS is the nation's only interdisciplinary honors organization for first- and second-year college students. Membership is by invitation only based on grade point average and class standing.
Williams will be a sophomore at K-State this fall, majoring in kinesiology. She is a member of kinesiology Student Association, Pi Beta Phi sorority, and K-State's executive board for Up 'Til Dawn to benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital.
She is the daughter of Roger and Laura of Williams of Florence.
Jason Funk graduates
from Salina tech school
Jason Funk of Hillsboro was a winter candidate for graduation in the commercial art program at Salina Area Technical School.
Funk graduated May 14 in commencement ceremonies at the Bicentennial Center, Salina.
