Runners take third at Hesston meet
The Warrior squad was in Hesston last Thursday for a 45-team meet.
A pleased Coach Zappone commented, "The students made a super effort and the girls brought home a third place plaque and four medals."
Ashley Elliott placed first in the freshman-sophomore girls two-mile run, followed by Kate Topham, who took fourth, and Alyssa Carter at 19th. All three girls were medalists.
In the junior-senior girls division, Jana Windsor was a medal winner with the 14th slot.
Casey Berger, Jeremy Berger, Jesse Riggs, and Nicholas Whitney also participated.
The team will compete again Thursday at Bluestem High School.
