Richard Swan

Richard L. Swan, 32, Florence, died near Cassoday Saturday as the result of a highway accident.

He was born April 11, 1970, at El Dorado, the son of Billy Bob and Myrtle (Wehry) Swan.

He was a welder at Agco Corporation in Hesston. He belonged to National Rifle Association and the Handyman Club of America. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He also participated in demolition derbys.

Divorced, he was the father of a daughter, Brittany Sue Swan of Florence. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Myrtle Swan of Florence; brothers, Larry Swan of Toronto and Paul Swan of Towanda; sisters, Rosetta Talkington of Burns and Carol Swan of Arlington.

Services were held today, Wednesday, at Zeiner Funeral Home in Florence with burial in the Burns Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in his name with the Florence Ambulance Service.
