Richard Alan Funk
Richard Alan Funk, 52, of Paola, died Aug. 4, 2007.
Born Nov. 30, 1954, at Goessel, he was the son of LaVern and Maxine (Loewen) Funk.
He grew up on a farm outside Peabody and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1973.
On Aug. 23, 1975, he married Dorothy Samuel at Kansas City, Mo.
He owned and operated Dr. Vinyl, a car service and repair company for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Paola; children, Jesse Funk, Jason and Heather Funk, Emily Funk, and Joshua Funk; two sisters, Janet Mitzner and Mary Leal; brother, Russ Funk; father and stepmother, LaVern and Joyce Funk; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Westside Family Church, Lenexa.
Memorial funds have been established with Hope City or Forerunner Christian Fellowship.
