Regional winners qualify for state track

Twelve Peabody-Burns High School athletes did well enough in regional competition this past week to earn a chance to compete at the state level. The KSHSAA state meet will be Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University.

Danielle Savage placed fourth in the 400m dash.

Andrew Topham was first in both the 1600m run and the 3200m run.

Derrick Simmonds finished second in both the 400m and 200m dashes.

Todd Woodruff placed third in the 100m dash.

Seth Alstrom, Jacob Wolf, Duane Unruh, and Ryan Wiebe took third in the 4x800m relay. Kendall Wiebe will travel as an alternate runner at state.

Will Pratt, Simmonds, Woodruff, and Trevor Hamm came in second in the 4x100m relay. Isaac Burnett will be the alternate.
