Reflections on Christmas

Preschool group answers "How I know Santa Claus is real"

Students in the pre-kindergarten class at Sunshine Preschool had their Christmas party Friday morning. Some of the class members spent a few moments answering a question posed to them by the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin editor about how they know Santa Claus is real.

Cody Partridge, 4: "Because he gave me Play Dough at my (preschool) program. He came to my program."

Austin Clay Johnson, 5: "I know because he lives at the North Pole. I saw him on TV at my grandmother's house. He is real."

Megan Bielefeld, 4: "I wrote a letter to him. I didn't see him, but I think he got my letter."

April Newfield, 4: "Because he brings you presents — every year! He came to our program and I saw him."

Logan Lawson, 4: "Because he works and works at the North Pole. I figured it out in my mind because that's where he works."

Stephanie Lewis, 4: "Santa Claus came to my program. He gave me blue and pink and orange and green and yellow Play Dough. No not blue. He was hiding under a table I think."

Ryan Bayes, 5: "I've never been to the North Pole to see him, but we saw him somewhere before. I saw him at the parade. I saw him in a chair at our program. He brought Play Dough."

Braden Wiebe, 5: "I just know in my mind because he lives at the North Pole. We left him cookies and he ate them. We didn't leave milk, but we might."

Alex Lewis, 5: "Because he went to our program — he just walked in and I saw him. That's how I know."
