Red Hat Society takes to open road
Members of the Peabody Red Hat Society took to the open road Saturday for a day of "antiquing" in Benton and Kechi.
They shared lunch and laughter at a café in the Benton Antique Mall. Afterward, they posed for pictures around a purple restored 1934 Ford sedan, one of the more unusual items for sale.
From there it was off to Kechi to browse through the many antique shops lining the main thoroughfare. After dinner in a restaurant in Park City and a stop for ice cream in Newton the group headed home to Peabody.
Those attending were Martha Kortje, Erma Hoffner, Alice Stucky, Bev Wilson, Ruth Topham, Shirley Beisel, Karen Bridgewater, Donna Hague, Judy Claassen, Sharon Pickens, and Dinah Richmond.
The next outing will be during the regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. July 29 at Sharon's Korner Kitchen.
All women who wish to celebrate their middle and more years are welcome to attend.
