Recent visitors enjoy Morgan House

The Peabody Historical Society recently served a four-course meal to the Robert Krieder family of Newton.

A casual meeting of Krieder at the Burns Café last summer has brought many diners to the Morgan House.

Francis and Marilyn Payne, Ross Baker, and Gary and Marilyn Jones were seated at a table for six when Krieder asked if he could sit a minute. Then he casually inquired if "anyone knew about that Morgan House in Peabody?" The rest is history and the historical society benefits with its "Meals with the Morgans."

History Club met for its April luncheon at the Morgan House. Members enjoyed a special meal which included fresh watercress and a luscious chocolate-raspberry dessert.

Becky Nickel and her family, plus a guest from Germany, toured the museum complex Friday. The Nickels had donated barn boards for the restoration of the 1904 Morgan barn.

Watch for an explosion of color when the tulip bed in front of the Morgan House is in bloom. Some very early tulips, crocuses, and daffodils already have shown that spring is really here!
