REC issues spring schedule
A schedule of activities and events for spring 2007, has been mailed to patrons of Peabody-Burns school district. The flyer includes listings for trips, classes, and recreation opportunities from January until May.
Peabody-Burns Recreation Commission organized the activities. Some require a fee, others are free. Advance registration is needed for trips and several classes. Many activities are open to anyone who shows up.
Beginning in January, the PBRC has scheduled a weight loss support group, adult exercise classes, adult basketball, and a chess club. None of these activities require registration.
Computer basics will be offered in both Peabody and Burns. There is no charge for either class, but participation is limited and advanced registration is requested.
Trips to sporting events include a Wichita State University men's basketball game and a Wichita Thunder Hockey game. The Crown Uptown Theater production of "Oklahoma!" is on the schedule for April.
Specialty activities include horsemanship training and Tae kwon do.
