Powerlifters place fourth at state
Peabody-Burns Lady Warriors placed fourth at the 2A state Powerlifting championships at Meade High School, despite a great effort by team members. The group finished second last year and missed the second place slot this year by eight points.
Team members are Casey Berger, Gretchen Berns, Jessica Milstead, Jennifer Schmelling, Blythe Weir, and Shannon Welsh.
Blythe Weir was individual state champion with a first in squat.
