Post, Nave are wed
Jandee Post of Burns and Andrew Nave of Hartville, Mo., were united in marriage Aug. 14, 2004, at First Baptist Church in El Dorado. The Rev. Michael Trent of Pittsburg State Baptist Student Union performed the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Pat and Janet Post of Burns. The groom's parents are Dennis and Carolyn Nave of Tulsa, Okla.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin basque-waist gown accented with silver metallic thread embroidery. White pearls and beading covered the spaghetti straps and cascaded down the bodice to the skirt. She chose a white jeweled tiara and a two-layer tulle veil accented with white satin piping on the edges. She carried a bouquet of sunflowers, red, white, and apricot roses, blue statice, and greenery tied with a sapphire ribbon.
Hannah Berns of Peabody was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Jacobs of Lee's Summit, Mo., Courtney Nave, sister of the groom, of Austin, Texas, Karma Ricke of Sharon, Danika Flax of Roeland Park, Deanna Johnson of Topeka, and Corrie Maddill of Overland Park.
The bridesmaids wore halter-style floor-length dresses of Swiss blue satin with beaded accents at the waist. They carried bouquets with a sunflower, apricot and red roses, blue statice and greenery tied with a sapphire ribbon.
Tony Russell of Joplin, Mo., was the best man. Groomsmen were Jared Nave, brother of the groom, of San Antonio, Texas, Seth Post of Manhattan, brother of the bride, Aaron Besperat of Pittsburg, Kevin Vincent of Shawnee, Derek Crisler of Bristol, Conn., and Jon Harding of Olathe. Ushers were Jesse Riggs, Nathan Bishop, Ethan Riggs, and Jordan Riggs, all of Peabody.
The flower girl was Caitlin Nelson of Cassoday, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Jacob and Zachary Krug of San Antonio, Texas, nephews of the groom.
Sara Forsythe of Pittsburg was the pianist. Worship music was provided by Jon Harding of Olathe, Josh Primm of Wichita, and Corrie Maddill of Overland Park.
Vocalist was the bride's mother, Janet Post, performing "Annie's Song."
Candelighter and junior bridesmaid was Bayleigh Clark, cousin of the bride, of Elizabeth, Colo.
Script readers for the ceremony were Scott and Carissa Marshall of Topeka.
Jessica Harding of Fayetteville, Ark., was the guest book attendant.
Andrew Conard of Yellowstone Park, Wyo., was in charge of programs. Flowers were made by Gerri Forsythe of Pittsburg. Linda Harbes of El Dorado was church coordinator. Videographer was Scott Blackwell of Pittsburg.
A reception dinner and dance was held at the bride's parents' rural home in Burns.
Cake servers were Stephanie Krug of San Antonio, Texas, Kathy Pasley of Jonesboro, Ark., and Pat Nave of Marion, Ark.
Reception helpers were Dennis and Brenda Riggs, Terri Bishop, Marilyn Unruh, Harvey and Carol Grosse, and David and Joanna Brazil, all of Peabody, Deb Gillet and Jim Anderson of Canton-Galva, Morgan Marler and Bob and Trisha Williamson, all of Hillsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Peabody High School, Pratt Community College, and Pittsburg State University.
The groom is a graduate of Joplin High School and Pittsburg State University. He is executive director of Wright Country Industrial Development Authority.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico. They reside in Hartville, Mo.
