Poor shooting hurts Lady Warriors in opener

Peabody-Burns High School Lady Warriors basketball team had a tough night Friday at Inman, shooting just 15 percent from the field in a 51-19 loss.
The team currently is playing in the Mid-Kansas Shootout with games at Pretty Prairie and Peabody-Burns.
Bayleigh Clark put the Lady Warriors on the scored board in the first to tie the game at two.
Julie Wedel added another first-quarter basket, but PBHS trailed 10-4 after one quarter.
Wedel and Danielle Savage each scored four in the second, but the Lady Warriors still trailed favored Inman, 21-12.
Rebecca Morris nailed a three-pointer in the third, and Jessica Gillet and Savage each hit a free throw.
Inman scored 13 more in the third and led 34-17.
Traylee Woodruff added the only Lady Warriors' score in the fourth, as the team fell by 32 points.
