Plummer family attends reunion

Al, Bonnie, and Shelby Plummer left July 13 for Florissant, Colo., to attend a Plummer reunion. There were 43 present. Kayme and Martin Voelker, Alyson, and Abby also were there and they had a nice visit. They returned July 17. Bonnie received word that her dad, Vern Lambert, had a heart attack that day. She left for Norton the next morning, returning home Sunday morning. Remember Vern and the family in your prayers.
Vernon and Florine Koehn attended a Smith family reunion at Leland, Miss. They left Thursday afternoon and returned Sunday.
LaVonne Ammeter and Joyce Kyle accompanied Lawrence and Lois Sayers to the Bible Church Grand Prix Wednesday evening. Megan and Jessica Sayers were contestants and each won a trophy. It was an exciting evening.
Mary Langenegger, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Joyce Kyle went to the home of Dave and Esther Stucky in Peabody Thursday evening for the senior fellowship of the First Mennonite Church. Others present were Pastor Elmer and Tina Reimer, Larry and DeeDee Rhemert, and David and Welma Thiessen.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers and Bruce Sayers attended the Vacation Bible School program Friday evening at the Peabody United Methodist Church. Megan and Jessica enjoyed VBS.
Kathleen Brenzikofer, Evelyn Sidener, and Joyce Kyle went to Goessel Friday morning to the board meeting of the Senior Citizens of Marion County. In the evening, Kathleen, Joyce, and Minamae Bierman went to the ice cream social at Cassoday.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale went to Haysville Wednesday evening to watch Roger Nightengale play ball. They watched Casey play ball Friday evening. After the game, Roger, Laura, and Casey left for Kearney, Mo., to spend the weekend with Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia. They celebrated Allie's birthday. Joining them were Mitch and Cathy Foote and Kristen and Brannon Wild. They returned home Sunday evening.
