Plan for Peabody Main Street Auction

By JOANNA BRAZIL

Director

Mark your calendars for a classic Peabody event and fund-raiser, the Peabody Main Street Memorabilia Auction, Feb. 26 at the American Legion.

A tasty steak dinner precedes the auction at 6 p.m. Tickets for the steak dinner are $10 and are available at the city building. Get them now! Space is limited. No tickets are necessary to attend the auction which follows the dinner at 7 p.m.

The auction has a plethora of great gift ideas for your sweetheart or beloved family member. Besides the unique and fantastic items, the auction truly is a fun-filled event that will keep you entertained throughout the evening.

You will find all kinds of goodies at the auction from "to-die-for desserts" by famous Peabody chefs to Peabody memorabilia that is sure to remind you of yesteryear in Peabody. Many local and talented craftsmen and artists have submitted fabulous pieces including hand-crafted grills, stained glass, woodwork, paintings, ceramics, quilts, and blankets.

Peabody businesses have submitted some of their signature items. Entertainment packages also will be available including a plane trip for two to the Beaumont hotel for a prime rib dinner, or a guided horse ride for two complete with picnic lunch.

Wonderful items continue to pour into the Main Street office, and if you are interested in donating a unique and fabulous item, PMSA will happily accept! Simply contact Susan Marshall, Joanna Brazil, or Steve Hamous or drop it off at the city building.

Proceeds benefit projects of the Peabody Main Street Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to ensure that Peabody continues to grow and thrive while preserving its historic character through community involvement.
