Peters named all-American scholar athlete
Former Goessel High School standout Kent Peters was named to the 2006 NAIA all-American scholar athlete team.
Peters was one of three Bethel College athletes to receive the award that required a player to be a junior or senior, member of the varsity basketball team, and maintain a 3.5 grade point average.
Peters averaged 5.77 points, led the team in three-point shooting percentage at 36.4 percent, and had a 2.14 turnover to assists ratio.
The two-year letter winner Peters is pursuing a major in business.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Peters.
