Burns senior citizens had a busy, inspiring meeting Dec. 13. Thirty-eight students and teachers of Eden Christian School sang several Christmas carols while the seniors ate lunch. Their singing was enjoyed by everyone. Later six Peabody Elementary School fifth and sixth graders and their counselor, Sally Barnaby came to present each one present with an ornament they crafted. Before they left they sang "Jingle Bells."
Carl and Riggs and Laverna Parrish celebrated birthdays and Don and Laverna Parrish celebrated their wedding anniversary.
Treasurer's report was given. Doni Rogers made a motion that $100 be given to PRIDE for utilities, Sandi Cunningham seconded, motion carried. Kathleen Brenzikofer thanked the Robinsons for working on the parade float and also those who rode on the float. The float received second place. Kathleen read "Take Time for 10 Things." White elephant bingo was enjoyed by all.
Attending were Pastor Jim Bush, Maude Gaines, LaVonne Ammeter, Calvin and Esta Hall, Don and Laverna Parrish, James Olberding, Gene Obee, Ann Wimberly, Shirley Ingram.
