Personals: Taylor Heidebrecht baptized

Mr. and Mrs. Dave Huntley of Newton visited Harold and Lois Huntley Saturday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Steve Scokoll and Corinn of Wichita, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Heidebrecht and boys of Marion, and Dan Ludwig were Sunday dinner guests of Ronald and Kathleen Ludwig at the Town and Country Café. The dinner was held to honor Taylor Heidebrecht who was baptized that morning at the Florence Christian Church.

George and Anita Lespagnard of Haysville were Sunday afternoon visitors of Gladys Lespagnard, Ernie Hurdle, and Harvey Wells.

Twylah Nightengale was guest of honor Monday evening at a surprise birthday supper in Emporia. Others in attendance were her husband Don, Harold and Chloe Triggs, Carol Nightengale of Topeka, Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point, and Pam Zimmerman and Shea, Janet and Bud Turner, Luke and Chris Turner and family, and Adam Turner, all of Eureka.

Mike and Jennifer Breese of Haysville were Sunday afternoon visitors of Gladys Lespagnard, Ernie Hurdle, and Harvey Wells.

Mary Jane Grimmett was in El Dorado Saturday to attend a Igniting Ministry workshop at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Ronald and Kathleen Ludwig were in Bixby, Okla., from Wednesday until Friday. They attended the funeral of Kathleen's sister, Clyde Estella Lovett. They returned home Saturday.

Don and Twylah Nightengale attended a birthday supper at Arletta's Catering in Burns. Twylah and her twin sister, Beulah Goering of Moundridge, were the honored guests. Also attending were Jim Goering and Dawna and Calvin Schmidt of Moundridge, Rex and Berneda Jewell of Manhattan, and Fern Goodwin, Joyce Kyle, Mary Langenegger, and Marvin and Sherol Nightengale of Burns.

Betty Ireland reports that Leslie Malmgren, longtime Florence resident, died Sunday. Burial will be in Florence.

Mrs. Ramon Zook spent from Feb. 9 to 16 in Orlando and Daytona Beach, Fla.
