Peabody swimmers take second at league
Peabody Super Swimmers claimed second place Saturday at the Mid-Kansas Swim League meet at Abilene.
Peabody scored 330.5 points, 23 points behind champion Lindsborg. Hillsboro was third with 261 points, and Marion tallied 190 points. Forty-eight swimmers from Peabody competed in the meet.
"We prepared for this meet with only 19 days of practice time in the water," head coach Laura Williams said. "It goes without saying that the swimmers did an amazing job. To make a run at first place just shows the caliber of swimmers that we have on our team. The team has a great sense of team work and it showed."
