Peabody school board hires new clerk
At a special meeting Friday of USD 398 school board members, Sharlene Brooks of Peabody was hired to replace Vickie Cook as clerk of the board.
Brooks is a lifelong Peabody resident. She graduated from Peabody High School in 1985. She and her husband Harold have two children enrolled in district schools.
Following a three-month training period and Cook's retirement, Brooks will officially take over the clerk position.
