Peabody police solves year old theft case
Peabody police report a fairly quiet "first week of summer vacation." Officers made an arrest in an old theft case and investigated a new one.
Charles Turner of Peabody was arrested at 9:10 p.m. Friday at 508 Locust on theft charges. The theft happened about a year ago but was not discovered until recently. Police and the victim were able to piece together enough evidence and probable cause to arrest Turner.
Theft of a car tag was reported Saturday to police. The tag was stolen from a car parked at a residence at 705 N. Locust.
