Peabody police report quiet week
Little activity was reported by the Peabody Police Department for the past week.
Chief Jeff Pohlman said, "We had a report of anhydrous odor south of town Thursday night. When we checked it out, we found someone had stolen some anhydrous from the co-op."
He also reported that on Sunday someone tried to start a fire in the top level of the rocket slide at the Peabody City Park.
"Both incidents are under investigation," he said. "We have suspects in mind and need to talk to a few people."
Pohlman said the only other incident was Friday at Peabody-Burns High School when a skunk was sighted during daylight hours. Pohlman went to the high school, shot the skunk, and disposed of it.
