Peabody police release statement on incident
A press release has been issued by Peabody Police Department in regard to an incident that occurred early Sunday morning.
"At 00:05 hours on July 31, 2005, Peabody Police Department was dispatched to the report of a citizen needing assistance. Upon arrival officers determined that Chad M. Flasschoen of Peabody had sustained an apparent self-inflicted injury. Chad Flasschoen was transported by Life Team20 to a hospital in Wichita. Chad Flasschoen is in stable condition at this time."
The incident took place at 402 North Elm, Peabody.
Police officers also are investigating an attempted vehicle theft. At 1:40 a.m. July 23 unknown juvenile suspects fled in a vehicle from a residence at 606 N. Olive.
The juveniles were confronted by an individual who had possession of the vehicle and they abandoned it in the 500 block of North Vine. No arrests were made, but an investigation is ongoing.
Peabody officers also executed a search warrant early Saturday morning at 410 Pine. Drug related items were found and charges are pending.
