Peabody police make numerous arrests

"Two individuals were arrested in separate incidents in Peabody involving unruly behavior," reported Peabody police chief Jeff Pohlman.

Shawn Hughes, 36, of Peabody was arrested April 8 for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after a confrontation with a neighbor. The incident took place at 402 and 408 North Olive streets.

Amanda Creel, 18, of Newton was arrested April 10 at 211 West 2nd Street for battery and child endangerment after she went to the 2nd street home and started a confrontation with the residents.

Both Hughes and Creel were booked into Marion County Jail after their arrests.

Pohlman also reported a battery complaint was received March 20. A juvenile suspect was arrested on alleged battery charges.

A second juvenile was arrested March 21 for alleged burglary at 211 West 2nd Street. Property was taken from a vehicle at the residence.
