Peabody police investigate thefts
Peabody police are investigating the Oct. 22 theft of $1,700 worth of camcorders and computer hardware and software.
The theft took place at 807 West 8th, Lot C, in Peabody.
Also on Oct. 22, $42 in gas was siphoned from a vehicle at 701 N. Maple.
Peabody Police Chief Jeff Pohlman said he and his officers had numerous complaints about pumpkin thefts and destruction in the weeks before Halloween. However, Pohlman noted that Halloween night in Peabody was fairly quiet and uneventful this year.
A 13-year-old at 406 Peabody Street was bitten by a cat this past week. Police have been unable to locate the cat. Live traps have been set in hopes of capturing the animal.
