Peabody open house is Saturday morning

Peabody Main Street Association, Peabody Economic Development Council, and USD #398 will host a community open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Peabody-Burns High School, 810 Sycamore.

Maps listing residential and commercial real estate throughout Peabody with listed property and contact information will be available as well as information about the community and home building and rehabilitation incentives.

Real estate properties with red balloons tied in front Saturday morning indicate that a Realtor or home owner is there to offer tours of the property.

Tours and information about Peabody Burns Junior/Senior High School and Peabody Elementary School also will be on hand for those who wish to learn more about what USD #398 has to offer.

Refreshments will be served.

"If you are interested in moving to Peabody, relocating within the city, or have family or friends who may be interested in moving to Peabody, we have a deal for you!" said Joanna Brazil, Peabody Main Street Association director.

"It is worth your time to make a trip to Peabody over the weekend of the Fourth of July," she added.

Numerous activities are happening throughout town. In addition to the open house Saturday morning, there will be carnival rides and the Kiwanis flea market in the city park, and the Farmer's Market in Santa Fe Park for homegrown grilled burgers, fresh corn on the cob, and homemade ice cream.

"Peabody is a great place to raise your family, retire and enjoy your lives," said Brazil.
